Stadium Lanes: A San Angelo Icon since 1962. Shown above is the original architectural rendering of Stadium Lanes before it was built. The business opened on June 2nd 1962.
On September 1st 2026, the facility changed names to The Knickerbocker Social House to reflect this expanded multi-activity experience, while the original Stadium Lanes bowling continues proudly within the complex.

We have 20 state of the art lanes with automatic bumpers for kids and automatic scoring.

Darts
Dart boards are no cost to use. Dart rental is $3 for the first hour, $5 for the rest of the day.
Dart Leagues start in August and meet on Tuesday evenings. Come by and meet the aficionados of darts. You have the rest of the season to practice to ready yourself for serious competition.
Must be at least 18 years old to play darts- 14 to 17 year old patrons may participate with a guardian present.
Billiards Leagues and Tournaments
Enjoy a round of pool on one of our five regulation sized billiards tables (9-foot). Billiards Leagues are planned and Tournaments are certain. Check back for contact information to join, very soon.
After 8 PM each day, the Billiards area is restricted to people age 21 and older.
Golf Simulators
The Knick features two advanced golf simulators on the game floor, powered by Uneekor EYE XO2 launch monitors and GSPro. Step in, pick from a huge library of courses, and play a round without leaving the house. Or just practice your swing on our dynamic practice ranges.
We have San Angelo’s only private Karaoke Lounge
Enter into our sound proof room and shut the door from anyone else in the building listening. Your voice is just for you and your friends invited in with you to sing. Jump on stage and sing duet- the sound system is as loud as you want it to be on our concert quality sound system. The room is yours, rented by the hour. Check our pricing page.
Sing to your heart’s content, but to keep in mind that for your safety the room is under video surveillance (no sound).
Shuffleboard
The Knick features a 16 foot shuffleboard table behind the dart area.
Full Service Bar & Lounge
Complementing everything there is to do at The Knick, is our full service bar, including 20 beers on draft, bottles, mixed drinks and margaritas. Come relax in our private lounge connected to the bar (21 years old and older permitted).
Specials
Experience 3 1/2 hours of non-stop bowling fun, complete to include shoes and sales tax. $20 unlimited bowling from 9:30 PM to 1:00 AM. Or bowl by the hour and rent your lane for $40/hour. The lights are set to Eclipse- blue with an array of ambient colors, and the music to a solid sound level.

Our name, The Knickerbocker Social House, carries a double meaning: not only does it telegraph our social house at 2105 Knickerbocker Road in San Angelo, it gives a nod to the year 1838 and America’s first bowling alley, located beneath the Knickerbocker Hotel in New York City.
At The Knick, we honor those origins by blending a New York warehouse vibe with the iconic mid-century spirit of Stadium Lanes. The result is an elevated destination to gather, play, and create lasting memories.
What happened to Stadium Lanes?
Stadium Lanes has been a cornerstone of entertainment in San Angelo for generations. Originally established with 24 lanes in 1962 and expanded to 36 lanes in the early 1970s, the center today features 20 state-of-the-art bowling lanes. Between 2024 and 2026, 16 lanes were removed to thoughtfully renovate the area to make way for a new lounge and pub games as well as make space for a new neighbor, Wandering Mind Brewery-coming soon. As of September 1, 2026, with the new pub games and bar, the new venue has become - The Knickerbocker Social House - also known as “The Knick" to reflect this expanded multi-activity experience, while the Stadium Lanes you know and love continues proudly within the complex.
What is within The Knick? A swanky new full-service bar and lounge, regulation billiards, tournament darts, golf simulators, shuffleboard, a private karaoke lounge, and new restrooms as well as 20 USBC sanctioned bowling lanes and Fleming’s Family Diner.
With bowling, pub games, and drinks, let merriment abound. Make The Knick your destination for fun, sport, play, gatherings with family and friends—or simply a place to escape, relax, and decompress.

Restaurant & Outside Food & Drink
Fleming's Family Diner at The Knick is separately owned and operated, which means at times, they may have different operating hours, but are generally open during primetime until 9 PM.
During times Fleming’s Family Diner is closed, Stadium Lanes does allow outside food to be brought in. However, when the restaurant is open, outside food is not allowed. There is one exception: If a group makes a formal reservation, that group will be given the option of purchasing an Outside Food Allowance option for a flat rate of $20 (plus tax), or buy two pizzas from the restaurant. Once purchased, the group will be able to bring in outside food.
